But you know who's the darndest? John McCain. In an adorable attempt to reassure our country that we're not tumbling into Great Depression II, he opined, "People are frightened by these events. Our economy, I think still, the fundamentals of our economy are strong," before a cute little addendum of, "But these are very, very difficult times."

What. a. cutie.
